Videographer Paul Borons has made a series of short YouTube clips called Odio las mates (“I hate math”) — featuring himself and various stick-figure personae — to illustrate “calculophobia” in popular thinking about economics and other issues.

Odio las mates even includes this 2-minute video on basic income.

The vast majority of people want to be socially useful and consider themselves hardworking, but they think most people are not so. There’s something wrong with the maths.

The video, “Renta básica universal,” is in Spanish with English subtitles.
